3 Easy Ways on How To Fix Uneven Eyebrows

Bridget Reed

We've all been there—a little tweezer happy, and now you're stuck with uneven eyebrows for the next few weeks. Yes, over-plucking your brows can seem like a bit of a headache to deal with; we're here to tell you it's not as bad as you think! Of course, it's not ideal; but that's not to say you have to call out sick from the office for the next six weeks either.

Makeup has catapulted into its prime years. With tons of new products invented every day, you're bound to find one that can fix your minor eyebrow mishap. So, with no further ado, let's figure out how to fix those uneven brows.

Brow Basics

Before we can fix the problem, it's best to have some knowledge on those soon-to-be on fleek brows of yours.

The structure of your eyebrow can tell a lot about someone's bone structure and how they should do their brows. Following the structure of your face and the flow of your natural brow is the best way to avoid any brow incidents.

The eyebrow is divided into three separate parts: the head, body, and tail. Where your brow hair decides to grow is dependent on where your supraorbital ridge (brow ridge) lays. This ridge is often more prominent in men and less prominent in women.

Although it may not seem like this, your eyebrows start as mirrored images of each other. We get it; they may be more like sisters rather than twins now—-we can thank the over-plucked brow trends of the early 2000s for this one. Thankfully we've got all the resources and supplies to help get your brows back on track!

What Causes Uneven Brows?

If you have uneven eyebrows, it was probably caused by one of these reasons, but all that matters is that you know how to fix them, right?

If your brows are super uneven and you can't figure out why or how then let's look at some of the reasons.

Over-plucking: A common reason for uneven brows is over-plucking. It can be easy to unknowingly over-pluck your brows if you're not following the natural shape of your brow.

Hair Loss: Your eyebrows may be uneven due to hair thinning. One eyebrow could be losing hair a little quicker than the other one. It's best not to panic if you believe this is causing uneven brows. Just keep an eye on them; if you notice that they are continuing to thin, then you should consider a growth serum

#1: Go Back to Your Roots and Find Your Natural Brow

Trust, the first step to reinventing your brow game is returning to your original shape! If you allow your brows to grow to their natural shape, managing and doing them is much easier.

The best way to figure out where your natural brow shape goes is by first finding your face shape. Knowing your face shape is key to having fleek brows!

Ways To Determine Your Face Shape

We think the easiest way to figure out your face shape is by simply measuring.

Forehead Width: It's best to start with your forehead. Measure the distance from your forehead at its widest point, from hairline to hairline.

Cheekbone Width: Start at your hairline above your cheekbone, measure the distance across your face on the other side.

Jawline Width: Start under your ears (the base of your jaw); now, measure the distance along the edge until you reach the chin—repeat steps on both sides.

Face Length: Start at the center of your hairline, and measure to the bottom of your face (the chin).

Once you have these measurements, you have all the information you need to figure out your exact face shape.

#2: In a Pinch? Use Makeup!

We care about the long-term health of your brows, which is why we always suggest going to the root of the problem first. You don't want to continue over-plucking or unevenly plucking your brows, which is why it's important to follow the steps above to avoid this brow mishap from happening again.

We know that you need a fix for your brow emergency now! This is why we've also formulated a guide for you to follow when you're in a pinch.

Let's be honest, the easiest way to fix any cosmetic mistake is with a little bit of makeup, and luckily for you, we have some of the best brow-saver makeup on the market.

Best Products To Use

Knowing how to fix uneven brows really starts with knowing which products to use. Here at Tatbrow, we have an array of products used on a day-to-day basis and for any brow emergencies you may have.

Ultra Defining Brow Gel

When you have uneven brows, your best shot to get them back even is by filling them in. Our Ultra Defining Brow Gel is perfect for just that—filling in your brows.

It can be tough to get them looking natural when filling in your brows. Still, luckily for you, our Ultra Defining Brow Gel product has an advanced-technology spoolie that gives an extremely natural effect.

You can expect it to look like freshly microbladed brows, minus the cost and pain!

The best way to correct unevenness is by going off your more full brow. Next, begin filling in the one you think may look a little wonky. If you follow the guidelines of your natural brow and use your other brow as a reference, you should be just fine!

Microblading Pen

Our Microblading Pen offers similar results as the Ultra Defining Brow Gel. It has a three-point bristle at the end of the pen, which gives you that natural look of small brow hairs.

When filling in your brows with a traditional brow pen, it can be difficult and time-consuming to achieve this desired effect. The Microblading Pen does all the hard work for you.

#3: Patience

We know that this is probably the last thing you want to hear, but patience is key when you're finding ways to fix uneven brows due to over-plucking.

Once you over-pluck your brows, once it can send you into a rabbit hole of continuing to do so until you have your desired shape, we're telling you to put the tweezers down!

You can rely on our products to get you through these sparse-brow times, and before you know it, you'll have your full beautiful babies back, and they'll be better than ever!

Bye, Bye, Uneven Eyebrows

Yes, uneven brows are a total drag, but that doesn't mean you have to be stuck with them forever. All it takes is a few simple steps, and you'll have full, even, and on-point brows in no time! We’re brow experts and would never lead you astray. As long as you follow our advice, not only will you have your brows back, but you’ll never have to deal with uneven brows again.

Makeup is the easiest fix, but it's important to treat your brows right. If you neglect your eyebrows, you can't expect them to look perfect 24/7. Keep your tweezers on the sidelines for these next few weeks, and let your brows get back to normal. If you're still struggling with uneven brows after they grow back, that's when you want to revert to your natural brow shape. We promise you won't regret it!
